Head of Event Marketing

Job description

Working as part of the Management team with different business units and regions, the successful candidate will be tasked with driving the quality of our student recruitment events globally, further promoting the company brand in the higher education sector and building a world class event marketing team. Joining a market leading company at an exciting time of expansion and diversification, this role will lead to personal and professional development.

With a passion for marketing, you will have previous experience managing a marketing function with distributed teams and driving customer acquisition and retention.

Job functions

  • Work with Senior Management and other staff to shape the marketing strategy for delivering high-quality B2C and B2B QS events worldwide.
  • Manage all event marketing staff and event promotion budgets and be accountable for the success of events around the world.
  • Shape the strategic messaging and positioning to promote the full series of events in any given city - working with relevant teams to define a marketing message to best take a series of events to each particular market.
  • Assess, design and build the Event Marketing division to focus on acquisition through a multi channel approach.
  • Define the working relationship with the Online division including the ownership of the PPC budget, outbound communications channels and supporting social media campaigns.
  • Responsible for planning, development and implementation of all of the organisation's event marketing strategies and communications.
  • Developing the marketing strategy for new and existing events products.
  • Overseeing development and implementation of marketing support materials.
  • Overseeing implementation of the marketing strategy, including campaigns and digital marketing.
  • Directing the efforts of the marketing staff and coordinating at the strategic and tactical levels with other functions of the organisation.
  • Guiding the day to day activities of the marketing teams, encouraging disciplined, efficient processes.
  • Ensuring that the marketing objectives are reached by the teams.
  • Work closely with product management team to define USPs and messages.
  • Undertake continuous analysis of competitive environment and consumer trends.

Key skills and experience

You are likely to have the majority of the following:

  • Proven track record of success in global student recruitment or generating leads for other youth products targeting people aged 20-35 (experience in events marketing would be a plus).
  • Confident, driven and dynamic leader.
  • Performance and Brand marketing experience.
  • Quantitative, analytical mindset. Experience with metrics & data analysis and market research (Google Analytics)
  • Demonstrable skills, knowledge and experience in the design and execution of marketing, communications and public relations activities.
  • Experience in developing and managing budgets.
  • Experience with hiring, training, developing, supervising and appraising diverse staff.
  • Successful experience writing press releases, making presentations and negotiating with media.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills.
  • Strong social skills and ability to resolve complex issues professionally.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at a time.
  • MBA degree or exposure to the MBA environment will be helpful.

Lead PHP5 Web Developer

COMPETITIVE SALARY PLUS BONUS SCHEME. ROLE WILL BE BASED IN LONDON WITH THE ABILITY TO WORK FROM THE ROMANIAN OFFICE FROM TIME TO TIME We are looking for a Lead PHP5 Web Developer to join our small team. The role will involve developing and maintaining our software products, used by universities and business schools across the world, to help them to engage with potential students and effectively process and support applicants to their programs. You will have responsibility for developing and updating both back-end and front-end code, to match client requirements, and will be able to play your part in the development of new products, which will underpin the rapid growth of our business. Programming is mainly done in PHP, using the Zend framework, and we subscribe to the Agile development process, using the Scrum methodology. You'll have a web development experience of 5 years or more, be fast learning and able to think on your feet, adapt to change and have good interpersonal skills. You should also be comfortable executing commands on Linux servers, configuring Apache & PHP and viewing log files. Ideally you should have experience in leading a team of developers.

Based in Bucharest, this is a role that will be focused on generating new business, to provide the Corporate Sales team with good quality leads.

As a Telemarketer you will be responsible for:

  • Generating new businessopportunities through engaging and calling an identified database of potential business leads
  • Managing new and existing databases and accounts
  • Using appropriate CRM and analytics tools to analyze and monitor specific tasks/actions
  • Liaising with prospective clients and driving product/ company engagement and interest

You will be provided with the data, the training and the tools necessary to complete your role.
