Job Description

Under the direction of the Manager - FAD, plans, directs and coordinates the activities of the accounting operation. Ensures that the company's accounting records are prepared in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and company policies and procedures. In addition, ensures that the company's accounting records and reports are prepared in a timely and accurate manner. Continually reviews and refines the accounting branches operating procedures to ensure that the accounting records are prepared in timely and accurate manner and in accordance with GAAP. Assigns, coordinates and reviews the work of the general accounting and cost accounting sections to ensure timeliness and accuracy. Prepares accounting reports for corporate finance and the customer as required. Prepares semi-monthly public vouchers for submission to the U.S. Government. Prepares monthly financial statements in accordance with the requirements of corporate finance. Coordinates with Corporate Finance to ensure all analysis and reporting requirements are met.

Specialist Experience

Education Level: Baccalaureate Degree in Accounting or related field; a Masters in Business Administration and a CPA qualification are highly desirable. Experience: Minimum 10 years overall experience. This experience should include 5 years DoD FAR cost accounting. Must posses a valid drivers license.
