Dr Kemal Abdurahim

Driven by a passion for business management and a desire to deepen knowledge in the field, Dr Kemal Abdurahim pursued higher education at prestigious Universities. He learned his first degree in Business Management with great distinction from Addis Ababa University, which laid the foundation for his academic journey. Building on this, Dr Abdurahim completed a second degree in Management at Bahir Dar University, followed by a Master’s degree in Finance from Andhra University. Continuing his pursuit of academic excellence, Dr Abdurahim embarked on a Ph.D. in Commerce and Management Studies at Andhra University in India.

His Doctoral studies provided him with advanced knowledge in his field of specialisation and honed his research and analytical skills on human capital. Over the years, Dr Abdurahim has held expertise and leadership positions in various sectors within Benishangul Gumuz and Ethiopia, including the Public Sector and Universities. His diverse professional experiences have equipped him with a deep understanding of the region's socio-economic landscape and the challenges it faces. Through his work, he has actively contributed to the development and growth of the communities he has served.

Currently, Dr Kemal Abdurahim holds the esteemed position of President at Assosa University, Ethiopia. In this role, he provides strategic leadership, oversees the University's operations, and fosters an environment of academic excellence and innovation. His commitment to education and visionary leadership contribute to the advancement of Assosa University and the empowerment of students. Dr Abdurahim enjoys reading different books, watching movies and visiting historical places, which allows him to explore his intellectual curiosity and deepen the understanding of the world.
