Attendee Numbers Increase by 75% from Last Year for EduData Summit 2018
The 3rd EduData Summit was held at MIT, the world’s number 1 university, heralded as the heart of the most innovative square mile on the planet. The Summit played host to over 350 delegates from 48 different countries.
The conference was kicked off by Professor Sandy Pentland, recognized as one of the “7 most powerful data scientists on the planet” who set the scene and the tone with an inspiring keynote using data to demonstrate the power of connections and collaborations. We also had speakers from MIT, UPenn, Harvard, Melbourne, Sydney, Brown, Rochester, Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech, Dartmouth, Victoria Wellington, Tufts and many more.
It was a packed agenda looking at the many ways in which data science is being brought to bear in the transformation of higher education worldwide.
Yesterday, following the conference we had 200 people for a dedicated Rankings Summit where we focused down on the details of the rankings and how they are compiled. The QS Intelligent Unit’s representatives ran 100 1-2-1 consultations, offering an elevated level of personal attention around the rankings with some team members running as many as 11 intense meetings through the day.
