When the QS Applicant Survey 2018 is broken down by region, a number of defining characteristics emerge between different applicant groups globally.

QS surveyed 5,666 prospective students located in Africa & Middle East during the 2017-18 academic year. These individuals, representing some 62 countries in the region, shared insights into their study motivations and ambitions. The largest respondent groups came from Nigeria (21%)Ghana (15%), and Kenya (8%).
