Anne D’Alleva became the eighth president of Binghamton University on Nov. 1, 2025. A New York native, she is a graduate of Harvard University and Columbia University, where she earned a PhD in art history and archaeology. During a 26-year career at the University of Connecticut, Anne was a faculty member in art and art history, associate dean for academic affairs in the School of Fine Arts, dean of the School of Fine Arts and most recently, provost and executive vice president for academic affairs. Her priorities included student success, collaborative and innovative research between academic departments and expanding UConn’s development and alumni relations efforts. In her first year at Binghamton, D’Alleva led the creation of the Forward Together strategic plan, which will guide the University’s efforts in research, graduate education, community engagement, and economic development.
