Associate Professor (Practice) Themin Suwardy is Associate Provost for Postgraduate Professional (PGP) Education at Singapore Management University (SMU), overseeing academic policies, marketing, and student experience for over 3,000 PGP students. He was previously Dean of Postgraduate Professional Programmes (2016–2021) and joined SMU in 2001, serving as Associate Dean at the School of Accountancy and founding director of the Master of Professional Accounting programme. A regular contributor to regulatory bodies, industry, and media on financial reporting, corporate governance, and accounting education, Themin has received numerous teaching accolades, including SMU and international awards, Singapore’s Public Administration Medal (Bronze), CPA Australia’s Lifetime Achievement Award, and CEEMAN’s Management Education Champion Award. He was Chairman of the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) from 2023 to 2025 and remains on its board as ex-officio. He also serves as Vice Chair of SATA CommHealth since 2020.
