Asst Prof Adel Chaouch-Orozco

Adel Chaouch-Orozco is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Linguistics and Translation at City University of Hong Kong. He holds an MA in Applied Linguistics from Jaen University, an MA in Psycholinguistics from the University of York, and a PhD in Psycholinguistics from the University of Reading. His research focuses on lexical-semantic processes in monolingual and bi-/multilingual speakers, examining how these processes shape language use and interact with culture, cognition, and affect. He also studies second language acquisition and individual differences, particularly language processing and proficiency assessment. In his work, he integrates computational methods, network science, and behavioural experiments.
