Your professional journey
My very first role was with the marketing team at IDP Education, which inspired my interest in studying abroad and building a career in the education sector. After spending two years studying in the UK, I returned and worked with British University Vietnam (BUV), QS Student Apply, UP Education, and LSBU. These experiences gave me broad exposure to international student recruitment across multiple study destinations.
Your local market expertise
There is growing interest in transnational and regional study options. Alongside traditional destinations such as the UK, Australia, and the US, students are increasingly open to branch campuses, blended learning models, studying closer to home in Asia, or starting locally before transferring abroad.
Understanding students
Students are strongly motivated by global recognition, career outcomes, and employability. Many see international education as a pathway to better career prospects, global work exposure, and stronger long-term earning potential. They are also motivated by opportunities to build independence, improve English proficiency, and develop cross-cultural skills in a global environment.
Personal strengths
I use data-led market insights, including application trends, demand signals, and student feedback, to inform strategy and prioritisation. I also focus on strong stakeholder and partner management, working collaboratively with universities and agents to align goals and achieve shared outcomes.
Purpose and motivation
Having studied abroad myself, I understand how life-changing the decision can be. What I enjoy most is helping students gain clarity and confidence at a pivotal moment in their lives — guiding them beyond rankings toward choices that genuinely fit their goals, strengths, and circumstances.
Staying current and credible
I stay informed through a combination of data analysis, market intelligence, and regular engagement with sector networks. This includes reviewing QS insights and application data, maintaining close relationships with agents and university partners, and attending industry briefings and events.
Personal dimension
Travelling and exploring different cultures helps me develop stronger cultural awareness and empathy, which directly influences how I support students considering international study.
