Brenda Elizabeth Galaviz Aragón is Director of Internationalization at Anáhuac México University, where she leads the university's global engagement strategy, international partnerships, academic mobility, and internationalization initiatives.
She holds a Bachelor's degree in International Studies from the Autonomous University of Sinaloa, where she received the Genaro Estrada Academic Merit Medal, and a Master's degree in International Development Cooperation from the Instituto de Investigaciones Dr. José María Luis Mora.
With more than 15 years of experience in higher education internationalization and academic diplomacy, Ms. Galaviz has held positions at Mexico's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and at the Education and Cooperation Department of the Embassy of Mexico to Belgium, Luxembourg, and the Mission of Mexico to the European Union. She is also an alumna of the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) of the U.S. Department of State.
From 2012 to 2025, she served as Director for International Cooperation at the National Association of Universities and Higher Education Institutions (ANUIES), where she led strategic international partnerships and represented Mexican higher education in global cooperation initiatives. She also served as Deputy National Focal Point for the European Commission's Erasmus+ Programme in Mexico (2024–2025).
In 2025, the French Republic awarded her the Order of Academic Palms (Chevalier) in recognition of her outstanding contribution to strengthening academic and scientific cooperation between Mexico and France.
