Damara Klaassen

Damara Klaassen is Executive Director of the International Student Initiative at the University of British Columbia (UBC), providing strategic leadership for undergraduate international recruitment and scholarship programs. With 25 years of experience in international higher education, she has held leadership roles spanning international recruitment, global engagement, partnerships, and institutional strategy. Her work at UBC focuses on advancing international enrolment and building sustainable approaches to attracting and supporting talented students from around the world. Damara holds a Master’s degree in Adult Learning and Global Change from UBC.
