David Noah is the founder and Executive Director of Comp Sci High, a public charter high school in the South Bronx built on the premise that the students furthest from opportunity deserve the clearest path into the economy’s best jobs. Since opening in 2018, it has grown from a single founding class into a nationally recognized high school pairing college-preparatory academics with real computer science coursework and paid internships.

David’s journey to founding Comp Sci High began at MS442, as a middle school math teacher. He went on to Yale Law School, where he represented Connecticut’s poorest districts in a fight for educational equity. After a brief vacation in corporate law at Ropes & Gray, he returned to work in education at some of the city’s best charter schools (KIPP and Success Academy).

His current work is about what comes after founding. He is redesigning Comp Sci High, Comp Sci Middle, and Comp Sci Alternative to prepare students for an AI-enabled world. He holds a JD from Yale, an MA in education from Pace University, and a BA in history from the University of Chicago.
