Douglas Proctor, PhD is Assistant Vice-President, Global at York University (Toronto, Canada) where he leads the development and implementation of the University’s internationalization and global engagement strategy.
A Senior Fellow of the International Education Association of Australia (IEAA), Douglas holds a PhD in international higher education from the University of Melbourne, Australia. In 2026 he is Chair-Elect of NAFSA's International Education Leadership Knowledge Community, and recently joined the IDP Canada Strategic Advisory Board. Douglas regularly delivers training on strategic planning for internationalization for the European Association for International Education (EAIE).
