Dr Chew Han Ei is Associate Director (Impact) at the Office of Impact, Singapore Management University. He works at the intersection of research, public policy, and institutional impact, with a focus on how universities measure, demonstrate, and strengthen the societal and policy outcomes of academic research.
Han has over two decades of experience designing and leading social science research programmes across academia, government, and international organisations. His work focuses on quantitative policy research and impact evaluation, particularly in areas related to digital trust, online harms, digital literacy, and technology adoption.
He serves on the board of SG Her Empowerment and is a member of Singapore’s Digital for Life Fund Steering Committee. He also serves as a pro-bono research consultant with UNESCO on international projects related to digital inclusion and technology policy.
