Dr. Shuwen Liu is now a professor of pharmacology, the vice president of Southern Medical University, Guangzhou, China. He is also the deputy director of State Key Laboratory of Multi-organ Injury Prevention and Treatment, a Member of the Chinese Pharmacopoeia Commission, and a Member of the Professional Guidance Committee for Pharmacy-related Majors under the Ministry of Education.
Dr. Liu’s research focused on anti-viral drug development and viral immunology, especially to find new agents treating virus resistance and latency. Dr. Liu has published more than 320 peer-review paper in academic journals like Lancet, which were cited more than 18,000 times (Web of Science) with an h-index of 55, and win the Highly Cited Scholar in China and World’s Top 2% scientists by Elsevier. He has more than 70 authorized Chinese and international invention patents. Dr. Liu was awarded National Leading Talents in Science and Technology Innovation by Chinese government, and the Henry Fok Education and Teaching Award of the Ministry of Education.
