Dr Tom Ritchie is a Reader and Director of Student Experience in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Warwick. He's Academic Lead for Education for Sustainable Development and co-chairs RADSAG, Warwick's Responsible AI and Digital Sustainability Action Group.   He's a historian working inside a chemistry department, and brings that cross-disciplinary lens to AI ethics, sustainability, and belonging in higher education. He teaches the AI Revolution, examining AI through historical, literary, ecological, and futures-thinking lenses, both at Warwick and, most recently, at Elon University during his year as a Fulbright Scholar.   He also founded the Centre for Belonging in Education, now 1,800+ members across six continents. One of its focuses is the impact of AI on belonging, work Tom continues through his research and his commitment to Students as Partners approaches in AI. He hosts the AI Ethics Now podcast, listened to in 110+ countries. His work has won the RSC Inclusion and Diversity Award and the EchoExperience Award for AI in Learning Excellence.
