George Kane led venture investing in education and workforce venture companies and funds for Emerson Collective for the past 10 years. He is founder of CapitalizEd, a new vehicle that provides patient, impact-oriented, founder-friendly capital to companies serving education, workforce, and economic mobility. Previously, he led education market development, product, and strategy for companies including Apple, Blackboard, HMH, Pearson, and ZDNet. He holds a BA and MA from Brown University and lives in the Boston area.
