Your professional journey
I began my career in international education in 2017, working in operations and student logistics for study abroad programs. Over time, I transitioned into sales support and recruitment management, developing a strong focus on international student recruitment across multiple destinations. Today, I represent Edith Cowan University, supporting its growth in the Vietnamese market.
Your local market expertise
The Vietnamese market is highly dynamic, price-sensitive, and increasingly outcome-driven, with students placing strong emphasis on employability and post-study opportunities.
There is growing interest in diversification beyond traditional destinations, although Australia remains a very strong choice. Scholarships also play a critical role in student decision-making and conversion.
Understanding students
Students are primarily motivated by career outcomes, international exposure, and opportunities for migration or global mobility.
They typically research universities through rankings, social media, peer reviews, and advice from agents or representatives. Key decision factors include rankings, location, tuition fees, scholarships, employability outcomes, and post-study work opportunities.
The main concerns students face are financial affordability, visa risks, and uncertainty about career prospects after graduation.
Personal strengths
My key strengths are market insight, relationship building, and the ability to connect student needs with institutional goals.
Purpose and motivation
I enjoy helping students make informed decisions that can shape their future and open global opportunities.
Staying current and credible
I stay informed through industry reports, partner updates, market data, and ongoing engagement with agents and universities. Attending events, webinars, and training sessions also helps me stay current with market trends and student behaviour.
Personal dimension
I enjoy travelling and exploring different cultures, which helps me better understand students’ perspectives and support them more effectively throughout their international education journey.
