Lone Grønbæk Jørgensen

Lone Grønbæk Jørgensen is Head of the Department of Economics and Center Director Interdisciplinary Centre on Population Dynamics at the University of Southern Denmark (SDU), where she leads strategic development across research, education, and international partnerships.

Lone has extensive leadership experience from interdisciplinary academic environments and also leads a university-level initiative dedicated to recognising and promoting research excellence in an international context. Her work focuses on strengthening research quality, supporting talent development, and building collaborative cultures across disciplines and institutions.

Alongside her leadership roles, she has a strong track record in international research collaboration through cross-border projects, academic networks, and partnerships across Europe and beyond. Her academic work is rooted in economics, game theory, and renewable resource management.
