Mariia Remizova

Mariia a final-year BA student in International Relations at Széchenyi István University in Győr, Hungary.

Growing up in Ukraine and studying in Hungary has given Mariia a unique perspective on international cooperation, cultural exchange, and the importance of building connections across borders.

Her academic interests focus on international economics and development studies, particularly China’s engagement with African countries. In 2025, her research on Chinese investments in Ethiopia received second place at her university’s Scientific Students’ Conference (TDK) and was nominated for the 38th National Scientific Students’ Associations Conference (OTDK).

Alongside Mariia's studies, she completed her professional practice at the Centre for International Programmes and Alumni of Széchenyi István University, where she gained experience in international cooperation, academic mobility, and supporting global educational initiatives.

Beyond her studies, Mariia enjoys learning foreign languages, photography, and discovering new cultures through meaningful conversations and international experiences. Her enthusiasm for languages also inspired her to create an Instagram page for English learners, where I share tips and educational content. Mariia believes that education is one of the most powerful ways to connect people across borders, broaden perspectives, and create positive change in an increasingly interconnected world.
