Professor Chetwyn Chan is Vice-President (Research and Development) at the Education University of Hong Kong and Peter TC Lee Chair Professor of Psychology. Dr Chan obtained a PhD in educational psychology in 1995 from the University of Alberta in Canada. Since then, he has published more than 200 full research papers and secured about HK$50 million (£4.8 million) in research, development and consultancy grants. In 2018, Professor Chan and his research team won First Prize in Science and Technology from the Chinese Association of Rehabilitation Medicine on post-stroke cognitive assessment and intervention innovation. He is an Elected Fellow of the American Psychological Association and a Fellow of the Hong Kong Psychological Society. In 2023, Professor Chan received the Chief Executive’s Commendation for Community Service from the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
