Professor Maryam Omari PhD has been the Executive Dean of the School of Business and Law at Edith Cowan University in Western Australia for over a decade. She is currently the President of the Australian Business Deans’ Council; the Chair of AACSB's Asia Pacific Advisory Panel; and a member of the Future of Work Advisory Panel of the Australian Human Resources Institute.
She has repositioned her School by leading and managing a significant change agenda which has resulted in structural, cultural, academic, research and curriculum renewal.
Maryam has held a number of senior academic positions including: Program Director MBA and Graduate Studies; Associate Dean International; Director of Undergraduate Studies, and HR Management Course Coordinator.
Maryam has lived, studied and worked in the Middle East, UK and USA. Her research interests lie in dignity and respect at work, cross-cultural management, quality of work-life issues, bullying in the workplace, and flexible work practices.
