Prof Neils Schiller

Niels O. Schiller is Chair Professor of Psycho- and Neurolinguistics and Head of Department of Linguistics and Translation at CityUHK. He worked at the Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics, Harvard University, and Leiden University before moving to Hong Kong. He is co-editor of the Oxford Handbook of Neurolinguistics and Editor-in-Chief of the Taylor & Francis journal Language, Cognition and Neuroscience. His research interests cover all stages of language production, i.e., how mono- and multilingual speakers proceed from the intention to say something to putting their lips, tongue, and jaws into motion. Schiller makes use of behavioral as well as electrophysiological measurements to study the (neuro)cognition of speech production.
