Paweł Urgacz is Deputy Dean for Internationalisation and Director of the International Cooperation Office at WSB University, with over 15 years of experience in advancing higher education internationalisation.
Paweł Urgacz is Deputy Dean for Internationalizsation and Director of the International Cooperation Office at WSB University, with over 15 years of experience in advancing higher education internationalisation. He has played a key role in transforming the university into one of Poland’s most diverse academic communities, now bringing together students from more than 80 countries, while also leading its global promotion and modern international recruitment strategies across multiple continents.
Fluent in three foreign languages, he gained international experience at institutions including the University of Vienna, the University of Bergen, IAP in Liechtenstein, and Bifröst University. He has consistently promoted innovative approaches to internationalization and internationalization at home and digital outreach campaigns tailored to different regions. He is also actively involved in strengthening the teaching competences of academic staff by implementing modern educational approaches, including gamification, Challenge-Based Learning (CBL), and by promoting Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL). In recognition of his achievements, he received the CEEMAN Teacher of the Year 2025 award and, in 2026, was honored with the Marketing Star award in the Polish “Stars of Internationalization” competition, which recognizes individuals with outstanding achievements in the internationalisation of Polish higher education.
