Raghu Raman

Prof. Raghu Raman is UNESCO Chair on Assistive Technologies in Education at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, where he has served since its inception after over 35 years of executive leadership at Fortune 500 companies. He founded the Center for Assistive Technologies for Education (CREATE), securing $10M+ in research funding, and has 200+ peer-reviewed publications. As Principal Investigator of Online Labs (OLabs), he enables students without physical labs to conduct experiments online; it spans 22+ Indian states and has trained over 200,000 teachers. He speaks frequently at forums including QS EduData Summit, IREG Observatory, and the UN Higher Education Sustainability Initiative. Earlier, he raised $16M in VC funding as Entrepreneur-in-Residence at NEC Research Labs, led massively parallel database development at Informix/IBM, and as CEO of Amrita Technologies delivered a patented, CCHIT-certified EMR system. He holds a Berkeley Haas MBA and the President of India Gold Medal.
