Teshome Daniel Aruse

Mr. Teshome Daniel has been head of Academia-Industry Partnership and Technology Transfer at the FDRE Ministry of Education for the last eight years. With extensive leadership experience in Ethiopia's higher education, health, and technology sectors, he specializes in policy development, research, and academia-private sector engagement. Mr. Teshome Daniel has led national initiatives on technology transfer, research commercialization, and industry (private sector) partnerships, collaborating with international organizations and universities. He offers assistance in establishing academia-industry linkages, facilitating technology transfer processes, providing strategic guidance for research commercialization, and supporting the development of successful higher education-based startups. His leadership role includes playing a key role in the higher education innovation ecosystem, developing policy frameworks, managing business, technology, and innovation incubation centers; higher education-based startups; and advancing the commercialization of research and technology outputs.
