Anahí Moctezuma Valero is an international affairs professional with experience in local international action, international cooperation, paradiplomacy, and institutional engagement. She currently serves as Technical Subcoordinator of the Representation Office of the Executive Branch of the State of Querétaro in Mexico City, where she works to strengthen Querétaro’s international positioning and relations with embassies, international organizations, subnational governments, federal institutions, and strategic stakeholders. In this role, she develops international engagement strategies in areas including economic development, tourism, culture, and environmental sustainability. She has contributed to the coordination of the First General Assembly of the Latin American and Caribbean Space Agency (ALCE), held in Querétaro, as well as to Querétaro’s participation in the 2026 High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development. She previously served in the Technical Secretariat of the Mexican Association of State Offices for International Affairs (AMAIE) during the presidency of the State of Querétaro, contributing to international cooperation initiatives. She also worked as an Analyst at the Mexican Agency for International Development Cooperation (AMEXCID) within Mexico’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where she developed strategic analyses and technical materials for bilateral and triangular cooperation projects, with monitoring strategies to support decision-making. She is a graduate of the Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations from the Faculty of Higher Studies Acatlán of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), with an academic focus on international politics and diplomacy. Her professional interests include subnational diplomacy, international cooperation, international negotiation, sustainable development, and the role of local governments in addressing global challenges
