Billy Crissien is a Colombian entrepreneur and corporate governance leader whose career spans two fronts: building and scaling his own businesses, and serving on the highest governing bodies of Universidad EAN, where he has held positions for more than 10 years, including President of the Board of Trustees, Member of the General Assembly, CEO, and Interim Rector.
As an entrepreneur, he founded and led Gym House, a brand he grew from a 500-member gym into a business that achieved more than 5X growth, culminating in its sale to Colombia's leading gym chain. He also drove the nationwide expansion of the Zumba brand across the country.
Today, he works as an independent advisor to founders, CEOs, and executive teams across Latin America, focused on how business leadership must evolve in the age of artificial intelligence. He is the author of the "Augmented Leadership" thesis, which argues that AI does not transform companies on its own — it exposes the quality of judgment behind the decisions their leaders make. Through articles, podcasts, and speaking engagements, he encourages executives to know, manage, and apply AI in decision-making, and to pair that adoption with deliberate Change Management that empowers their teams.
Billy holds a degree in Business Administration from Universidad EAN, a Master's in Innovation from the same institution, and a Master's in Sports Management from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.
