César E. Gutiérrez Jurado is a distinguished professor in the Humanities Department at Universidad Autónoma de Chihuahua (UACH), where he fosters academic excellence and intercultural engagement. He currently serves as Executive Director for Institutional Enhancement at the National Association of Universities and Higher Education Institutions (ANUIES) in Mexico, driving strategic advancements in higher education. Additionally, he holds the prestigious role of Erasmus National Focal Point for Mexico, facilitating international collaboration and mobility through the Erasmus+ program.
As President of the Asociación Mexicana para la Educación Internacional (AMPEI), César leads efforts to unite public and private higher education institutions in Mexico, promoting internationalization and global partnerships. His international perspective is shaped by his education, having earned a degree in Organizational & Corporate Communication from the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) and a Master’s in Higher Education from UACH.
Passionate about transforming higher education, César specializes in internationalization, faculty and student mobility, and forging global partnerships for research, teaching, and community engagement. He has extensive experience in developing joint programs with world-class higher education institutions, enhancing academic and cultural exchange worldwide.
