As the Founder and Managing Director of China Education International (CEI), Charles Sun has been a driving force in shaping Transnational Education (TNE) in China since 1996. For nearly three decades, his vision has positioned CEI at the forefront of building sustainable bridges between Chinese students and world-class universities, primarily in Australia and the UK.
Today, CEI's portfolio of joint institutes and programs supports almost 5,000 students every year, creating respected pathways for academic and cross-cultural exchange. Charles's operational expertise is matched by a personal dedication to the student experience—a commitment memorably demonstrated when he chartered an aircraft to facilitate the journey of 187 students to Australia.
A native of Shangyi Village of Guangdong Province with a research background from the University of Melbourne, Charles combines local insight with a global outlook. He is a prolific writer and acknowledged expert whose analysis helps define the future of TNE globally.
