Dr Abdulla Al-Jalahma is the Dean of the College of Business Administration at the University of Bahrain, with more than 18 years of experience spanning higher education, academic leadership, and financial regulation.
He holds a PhD in Accounting from the University of Nottingham (UK), an MSc in Accounting from Texas A&M University (USA), and a BSc in Accounting from the University of Bahrain. Prior to his academic career, Dr Al-Jalahma served as a Financial Analyst at the Central Bank of Bahrain, where he was involved in financial institutions supervision and regulatory oversight. His research interests include financial reporting quality, corporate governance, ESG disclosure, banking performance, and sustainable development, with publications in internationally refereed journals. Dr Al-Jalahma currently serves as Editor-in-Chief of several regional academic journals in accounting, finance, and management. As Dean, he leads strategic initiatives focused on business school transformation, accreditation, curriculum innovation, and international partnerships, with a strong emphasis on responsible management education, data-driven decision-making, and the future of business education.
