Dr Cheryl Yu

Dr Cheryl Yu is an experienced practitioner and researcher in international education, with over 18 years of experience in global engagement across UK and China higher education. Her work focuses on fostering equitable, sustainable, and meaningful international partnerships that enhance institutional capacity, local relevance and student outcomes.

She works as the Director of Programmes at TNE Institute, the first and only organisation dedicated to delivering bespoke staff training in TNE. In this role, she leads the design and delivery of specialist TNE professional development programmes and has also provided consultancy support to a range of universities and organisations, including the British Council.

Dr Yu also contributes to sector leadership and policy dialogue. She is a member of the Speciality Committee on Transnational Education at the Association of British Chinese Professors (ABCP) and serves as Secretary of the Society for Anglo-Chinese Understanding (SACU).
