Dr. Gulnara Kurenkeyeva is Dean of Narxoz Business School and an experienced higher education leader with more than 25 years of management experience.
Before joining Narxoz University, she served as Rector of Almaty Management University (AlmaU) from 2021 to 2025, after holding various academic and leadership positions at the university.
Her professional expertise spans university leadership and governance, institutional transformation, business education, international accreditation, leadership development, and university–business collaboration. She has extensive experience in university strategy and management, organizational transformation, and the development of MBA, Executive MBA and DBA programmes.
Dr. Kurenkeyeva has served as a member of the AMBA International Accreditation Advisory Board and has participated in international accreditation and academic development initiatives across different countries.
Her current work at Narxoz Business School focuses on strengthening the School’s international positioning, developing globally connected management education with a strong Central Asian identity, and increasing its impact on business and society.
