Dr Jeffrey Robens

Dr. Jeffrey Robens is based in Tokyo and is Head of Community Engagement at Nature Portfolio and Lead Trainer for the Nature Masterclasses. Drawing on 20 years of academic experience from premier research institutes in the US, Singapore, and Japan, he works with researchers worldwide to strengthen the quality and impact of their research communication. Since leaving academia in 2012, he has delivered more than 675 workshops in 37 countries and spoken at conferences and events internationally on research publishing and researcher development. Since 2023, he has also trained researchers in the responsible use of generative AI across the research and publication process.
