Dr. Jill Buban is a senior education leader, venture builder, and partnership strategist with deep experience scaling learning organizations across higher education, workforce education, and edtech. She is known for connecting institutions, employers, innovators, and investors to create sustainable, mission-driven learning ecosystems.

Dr. Buban has held executive leadership roles across research universities, national consortia, and growth-stage enterprises, including the University of Miami, Arizona State University (EdPlus), Bright Horizons/EdAssist, Unizin Consortium, and the Online Learning Consortium. Across these roles, she has led large, cross-functional teams; managed complex portfolios and nine-figure budgets; launched new education products and pathways; and negotiated multi-party partnerships with universities, Fortune 500 employers, edtech providers, foundations, and investors.

Her work sits at the intersection of strategy, partnerships, and scale. She brings a founder-minded approach to building alliances—aligning incentives, structuring durable operating models, and translating vision into executable deals that drive growth while preserving academic integrity and learner impact. She has advised presidents, provosts, CEOs, and boards on online and hybrid learning, workforce-aligned education, lifelong learning models, and the responsible integration of emerging technologies.

A nationally recognized thought leader, Dr. Buban is a frequent speaker and advisor on digital learning, workforce transformation, and cross-sector collaboration. She serves on multiple boards and advisory groups shaping the future of education.

She is currently focused on building, advising, and partnering with organizations and ventures ready to grow, evolve, or launch bold new models for learning at scale.
