Dr Karen Tinsner-Fuchs

Dr Karen Tinsner-Fuchs is Head of the Quality & Sustainability Department at the University of St.Gallen.

In her role, Dr Karen Tinsner-Fuchs manages three professional service units, including Diversity, Equality & Inclusion; Sustainability Services; and Quality Development Services. She has nearly two decades of experience in quality assurance and development in higher education. As Head of Quality Development Services, she is responsible for managing accreditations, supporting ranking-related activities, and developing the University’s central course evaluation portfolio. Her team provides data, analyses, and monitoring tools to support decision-making and continuous institutional development. She holds a doctorate in higher education research from the University of Zurich's Institute of Psychology. Her previous positions include Head of Teaching Evaluation at the Medical School of the University of Ulm, Project Manager at the Evaluation Office of the University of Zurich, and Research Assistant at ETH Zurich in the field of social psychology and higher education research.
