Dr. Mathews Tura Gichille is the Founder and President of New Generation University–Africa, where he has led the institution’s strategic direction, academic development, and executive management since 2001. With more than three decades of experience spanning higher education, leadership development, international business, and industrial development, he is widely recognised for his contribution to advancing education and institutional growth across Africa.
Dr. Gichille holds a PhD in Human Resources Development from Southern California University, USA, alongside an MBA from Oklahoma State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Midland University. His professional journey includes leadership roles with international organisations such as UNIDO and UNDP, where he specialised in investment promotion, industrial partnerships, and business development. He also served as East African Regional Director for CBMC International and has lectured in marketing, human resource management, and international business at Georgia State University.
An experienced global leader and speaker, Dr. Gichille has travelled extensively across Africa, Europe, Asia, and the Americas, contributing to international dialogue on education, leadership, and sustainable development.
