Dr Péter Levente Lakatos is a jurist and economist specializing in higher education quality assurance and higher education policy.
Péter is the Director General of the Hungarian Accreditation Committee (MAB), a Board Member, Treasurer and Member of the Presidency at the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA), and an Executive Board member and Treasurer of the Central and Eastern European Network of Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (CEENQA).
He has extensive experience in higher education quality assurance, participating in both national and international projects (such as DEQAR-CONNECT, MICROBOL, TSI-OECD, IMINQA, SEQA-ESG, ROQA-TNE). He has served as a member of numerous site visit teams for institutional and program-level evaluations and the accreditation of doctoral schools in Hungary and abroad.
Péter has delivered keynote speeches, participated in panel discussions, and facilitated workshops in Hungary and various countries, including the United Kingdom, Belgium, Spain, Germany, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, the Czech Republic, Serbia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
