Dr. Liu Xu is a Tenured Associate Professor at the Center for Higher Education Research, Southern University of Science and Technology, Shenzhen. She also serves as a Member of the QS World University Rankings Advisory Board and an Associate at the UCL Centre for Engineering Education, University College London. Xu obtained her PhD in Higher Education from the UCL Institute of Education. Her primary research interests focus on higher education policy and governance, undergraduate talent cultivation and development, and the institutional development of young universities. She has published approximately 60 papers in renowned Chinese and English academic journals and authored 4 books in both languages. She has led the successful completion of 3 national-level research projects, as well as a series of provincial and ministerial-level research projects.
