John Garcia

John Garcia III is Executive Director of the Pathways Impact Fund at StriveTogether, where he advances opportunities that connect students to college and careers. He co-chairs the Commission on Purposeful Pathways, mobilizing funding for regional intermediaries and elevating bright spots for research and support. With over 20 years across corporate, nonprofit, and government sectors—including senior roles at the U.S. Departments of Commerce and Education—John brings deep expertise in education policy and systems change. Previously founding president of the Greater Los Angeles Education Foundation, John holds degrees from Arizona State University and a doctorate from Harvard. He lives in Washington, D.C.
