Juan Pablo Mena is the founder and CEO of uPlanner, an education technology company that applies artificial intelligence to academic operations in higher education. Since 2015 he has led its growth from Chile to institutions across Latin America, the United States and the Middle East, working with more than 150 universities on academic planning, curriculum management, student success and assessment. uPlanner is recognised by Gartner in its higher education scheduling category. Juan Pablo holds a degree in engineering from Universidad Santa María, MBA from Universidad Adolfo Ibañez and has spent his career at the intersection of operations research, artificial intelligence and the practical realities of running a university.
