At UNICEF’s Global Learning Innovation Hub, Juliette Norrmén-Smith leads thought leadership and research on the relationship between digital and AI-enabled tools, educational equity and system sustainability. This includes guiding global reports on digital education and multi-country research projects under the umbrella of the EdTech for Good initiative, aligning governments and partners around global standards for evaluating the quality, safety, and scalability of EdTech. She manages the UNICEF Secretariat for the UNESCO-UNICEF-ITU Gateways to Public Digital Learning initiative.
Previously at UNESCO, Juliette spearheaded the growth of numerous digital education partnerships, including the Digital Transformation Collaborative of the Global Education Coalition. Juliette began her career as an English teacher and special educator.
Juliette holds a Master’s degree from the University of Oxford in Comparative and International Education, specializing in digital inclusion.
