Kavit Yagnik works at the intersection of research policy, data analytics and institutional strategy across South Asia and Southeast Asia. Over two decades, he has partnered with national governments, accreditation bodies, research councils and multilateral institutions across the region to co-develop metrics and evidence frameworks underpinning research assessment, ranking and funding decisions.
His engagements include a regional research performance report with a leading multilateral development institution, work with a national policy think tank linking research funding to measurable outcomes, a national programme raising the international visibility of domestic journals, and research metrics behind a major national institutional ranking framework.
Kavit currently leads Elsevier's Solutions organisation across South Asia and Southeast Asia, speaks regularly at Times Higher Education and QS Asia summits, and has convened government roundtables on research policy and analytics. He holds an MBA from the University of Pune and a B.Sc. in Biology from the University of Rajasthan.
