Marc Gibson

Marc Gibson is Associate Vice Chancellor for Research, Innovation, and Economic Development, where he leads university-wide engagement with industry, government, and nonprofit partners. Drawing on extensive industry and community connections in East Tennessee, he advances economic development through strategic partnerships, technology transfer, small business support, and place-based innovation initiatives. Working closely with the UT Research Foundation, UT Research Park at Cherokee Farm, and external sponsors, Marc helps expand the university’s research enterprise and community impact.
