Mohammad Falahat is Professor and Director of the Strategic Research Institute (SRI) at Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation (APU), Malaysia. His work focuses on international entrepreneurship and SME development, with expertise in SME internationalisation, firm performance, sustainability, digitalisation and data analytics.
He earned his doctorate in International Entrepreneurship from Universiti Sains Malaysia as a Gold Medalist. He has published extensively in high-impact Scopus- and Web of Science-indexed journals, contributing to scholarship on emerging market enterprises and international business.
His honours include the Asian Research Excellence Award (2025) and the National Outstanding Researcher Award (2025). In 2026, he received the Global Research Network Leadership Award (University Category), presented by Educoop, the National Association of Private Educational Institutions (NAPEI), and Emerald Publishing. Through his leadership at SRI, he advances international research collaboration and supports the translation of research into impact.
