Prof. Dr. Pablo Salvador Blesa Aledo.Prof. Dr. Pablo S. Blesa Aledo was born in Alhama de Murcia in 1973; is Vice rector of InternationalRelations at the Catholic University San Antonio de Murcia (Spain) since 2006 and Vice rector ofInternational Relations and Communication since 2009; Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences andCommunication since March 2010, where he teaches Political Sciences to second year students ofJournalism and Media Studies. Prof. Blesa is also Director of the Master’s Program in European Studiesand Human Rights and the Master in International Relations; in the year 2023, he was charged by theGeneral Council of Tolerance and Global Peace (GCTP) and UCAM, to implant the master degree inTolerance and Global Peace. Pablo studied Communication and Political Sciences at the ComplutenseUniversity in Madrid; has a Master’s degree in International Relations and Communication sciences fromthe Complutense University in Madrid; a Master’s degree in International Relations bestowed by theDiplomatic School of Spain and a Master’s in International Relations and Cooperation from the InternationalRelations Society. He has also obtained the following academic qualifications: “Specialist in Journalism andInternational Cooperation” and “Specialist in studies on Contemporary Africa Affairs” from the ComplutenseUniversity in Madrid, “Expert in Business Management” from the FUNDESEM Business School and acertificate in “International Humanitarian Law” from the Red Cross. He continued his specialization inInternational Relations and Leadership at the University of Ottawa (Canada) and the University ofStrasbourg (France). Blesa has been visiting professor at over 30 universities, among them The Universityof Wroclaw (Poland); The University of Siena (Italy); Benedictine of Chicago (USA), Loyola UniversityChicago (USA), Berkeley University California (USA), the Catholic University of Eichstätt (Germany),Moscow School of Political Studies (Russian Federation), Liverpool University (United Kingdom),Strasbourg University (France), the European Council (EU) and the Western European Union (WEU),Alaska University system (USA) and Plekhanov University (Moscow) and Xuewe International BusinessSchool (China).Before joining the University, Blesa worked in the Department of political communication of the SpanishPolitical Party “Partido Popular” (PP), was Director of the NGO “Solidarios para el Desarrollo” (area ofrelations with Hispano America); and worked as a journalist for the National News “Agency EFE”. He wasthe first Director of International Relations of UCAM (2000-2006) before becoming the Vice Rector ofInternational Relations to that date. From 2014, he is the Vice-dean of the Professional body of journalistsin Murcia Region. In August 2018, Prof Blesa was bestowed by NATO/SHAPE the “2018 Serge LazareffPrize”. In March 2022, Prof. Blesa was appointed member of the International Scientific Committee of theGerman university FOM. On May 23, 2022, he received the award in the “Life Career” category from theIrapuato Institute, a Mexican university center. In January 2024 he was recognized with the “EmpoweringEducator Award” from Exceed College -Duba-.iBlesa is the Author of the books “Narrowing the Gap between East and West” (2003), “La ConstrucciónEuropea y la Política de las Superpotencias en la Era Nuclear” (2004); “De la Defensa de Europa a laEuropa de la Defensa. La transformación de la Unión Europea en Actor militar global del Siglo XXI” (2006)and “Siameses twins: the United States of Europe and the United States of America in the 21º Century”(2009). He is also author of hundreds of newspaper articles and more than thirty scientific papers in fivedifferent languages.Professor Blesa has visited 95 countries in the five continents and speaks Spanish, English, French andItalian (…is learning Russian very slowly). He is married and has four children.
