Professor Krisnandi is a leading chemist at Universitas Indonesia, recognized for her contributions to academic excellence, institutional planning, and global university rankings. She obtained her B.Sc. (Hons) from Universitas Indonesia, an M.Sc. from the University of New South Wales (UNSW), and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Aberdeen, followed by postdoctoral research at the Leibniz Institute for Catalysis (LIKAT), Germany.
She has been a faculty member in the Department of Chemistry since 1998 and was promoted to full Professor in 2023. Beyond her academic role, she currently serves as Director of Planning and Performance at Universitas Indonesia, where she plays a central role in shaping institutional strategy, driving data-informed decision-making, and strengthening the university’s performance in global rankings. She also leads the Task Force for the World Class University (WCU) Program at UI, coordinating crossfaculty initiatives to enhance research output, international visibility, and competitiveness in major ranking systems.
Her leadership in quality assurance and accreditation has been instrumental in aligning institutional standards with international benchmarks. She has served as an assessor for prominent accreditation bodies, including the Royal Society of Chemistry and ASIIN (Akkreditierungsagentur für Studiengänge der Ingenieurwissenschaften, der Informatik, der Naturwissenschaften und der Mathematik), and previously held key roles within the university’s Board of Academic Quality Assurance. Her experience spans national and international accreditation processes, including AUN-QA and BAN-PT, as well as editorial and reviewer roles that support research quality and academic development.
Her achievements include election to the Indonesian Young Scientist Academy (ALMI) (2016–2021), an honour bestowed by the President of Indonesia, and recognition as one of Universitas Indonesia’s top lecturers. She is also an active member of leading professional organizations such as the Royal Society of Chemistry, the Indonesian Zeolite Association, and the Indonesian Chemical Society.
Through her combined expertise in chemistry, governance, and strategic planning, Professor Krisnandi continues to play a pivotal role in advancing Universitas Indonesia’s global standing and academic reputation
