Prof Geoffrey Qiping Shen

Professor Geoffrey Shen is Associate Vice President (Global Partnerships), Director of Global Engagement, Chair Professor of Construction Management, and Master of the STARS Residential College at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). Since joining PolyU in 1994, he has held various leadership roles. Renowned globally for his contribution to sustainable construction, Professor Shen has been recognised as one of the world’s Highly Cited Researcher by Clarivate for 2023, 2024 and 2025, and ranked among Stanford’s Top 2% Most-Cited Scientists according to the research by Stanford University. He has led significant research projects funded by international and government bodies. As a certified Value Management Facilitator, Professor Shen has contributed to over 100 government projects and served on key advisory panels in Hong Kong, positively influencing academia, industry, and policy in construction management worldwide.
