Prof Hisham Alhadlaq

Prof. Hisham Abdulaziz Alhadlaq is a Professor of Medical Physics at King Saud University, specializing in medical physics and biomedical nanotechnology applications. He holds a master’s degree in biophysics and a PhD in medical physics from the United States. At KSU, he currently serves as Dean of Graduate Studies, Chair of the Graduate Studies Council, and a member of the University Academic Council. His previous leadership roles include General Supervisor of the Research and Development Office at the Saudi Ministry of Education and General Supervisor of KSU’s King Abdullah Institute for Nanotechnology. Prof. Alhadlaq has published more than 110 peer-reviewed papers in medical imaging and biomedical and medical nanotechnology, and has participated in more than 80 international and local conferences and workshops as a keynote speaker and participant. His international academic experience includes visiting appointments at Yale University and Singapore’s Institute of Bioengineering and Nanotechnology, as well as advanced medical imaging training at Harvard, MIT, Massachusetts General Hospital, and Houston Methodist. He has also contributed to Saudi Vision 2030 initiatives related to research, innovation, higher education, and human capability development, and previously served as a Senior Consultant with EY on higher education, university, research, and innovation initiatives.
