João Pinto is Dean and Professor of Finance at Católica Porto School of Business and Economics, Universidade Católica Portuguesa.
He holds a PhD in Business and Management Studies (Finance) from the University of Porto and a Certificate of Management Excellence from Harvard Business School. Before becoming Dean in December 2023, he served as Vice-President of Universidade Católica Portuguesa – Porto from 2017 to 2023. He was also a Visiting Scholar at the University of Oklahoma.
João is Co-Leader of INSURE.Hub (Innovation in Sustainability and Regeneration Hub), promoting interdisciplinary research and collaboration between academia and industry. His research focuses on corporate finance, financial innovation and sustainable finance, with publications in leading international academic journals.
